“Voices from Japan” was an exhibition of tanka poetry written by survivors of the 3/11 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami displayed at The American School in Japan in March 2013. “Voices from Japan” had previously been exhibited at Harvard University, Colorado College and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. This bilingual catalogue, which includes additional interviews with the tanka authors, was compiled and published as an accompaniment to the exhibition. I was part of a small team of editors that worked on the curation, copyediting, layout and design of the catalogue.
