I worked with photo editor Kisha Ravi to report this immersive multimedia story on Instagram archive accounts that are telling non-Western histories and crowdsourcing family photos from diaspora communities. The piece asks how these accounts are democratizing archival work and challenging colonial histories. We worked closely with the Rest of World product team to build a custom article experience.
